1.6cr women voters lead the way, parties go extra mile with offers

In the upcoming assembly elections in Telangana, political parties are making efforts to secure the support of female voters, who outnumber male voters in 20 out of 33 districts. Congress is considering offering 10 grams of gold and financial assistance for marriage to unmarried girls, while BJP is planning new schemes and highlighting its support for the women’s reservation bill. The ruling BRS government is already implementing various schemes for women and has indicated that there will be more in their upcoming manifesto, including subsidies on gas cylinders and bicycles for girl students.
