11-yr-old girl identifies burglar from 110 photos

An 11-year-old girl in Mumbai helped the police arrest a burglar who had been evading capture for over a year. The girl identified the suspect from a collection of 110 photographs and a video shown to her by the police. The burglar had stolen gold jewelry worth Rs 2.4 lakh from the girl’s residence. The accused, Nikhil alias Deepak Vaishya, was arrested at Andheri railway station and found to be in possession of stolen jewelry worth Rs 22.6 lakh. He had been involved in at least 13 cases of house break-ins and thefts.
