Ahead of the 2024 elections, around 1,86,331 electors in Palamu will have to replace their blurred and hard-to-recognize black and white voter cards with colored ones. The deputy election officer of Palamu, Anant Kumar, stated that electors can either provide a color photo by filling out a form or have a booth official take a picture for a color copy. In addition, the Election Commission has approved an additional polling booth for the Palamu Lok Sabha constituency, bringing the total number to 2,427. Palamu also lags behind the state average in terms of the electoral gender ratio, with 928 women voters per 1,000 men.
