3-fold rise in Uttarakhand forest rest house tariff, safari rates up too

​ If you like to chill in the forests of Uttarakhand and fish in its waters, be prepared to spend upto three-fold for nearly everything. The rates for stay at many forest rest houses (FRHs) in areas like Corbett Tiger Reserve’s Pakhro range have shot up to Rs 2,000 per day from Rs 750 earlier. Day visit charges inside the reserve have also risen sharply — from Rs 100 earlier to Rs 500 now for Indian visitors and from Rs 900 earlier to Rs 1,500 now, for foreigners.
