49 acres claim: Report exposes fraud on court

An investigation into a land ownership dispute in Hyderabad has revealed that two petitioners fraudulently claimed ownership of 49 acres of land by presenting fake court orders. The Chief Justice of Telangana HC had ordered the inquiry after the government raised concerns about the authenticity of the claims. The judicial registrar’s report found that the two writ petitions referenced by the petitioners did not exist, and concluded that they were attempting to deceive the court. The case will be further examined on October 13.
