50 RG Kar doctors ‘quit’ in symbolic protest

Over 50 senior doctors at RG Kar Medical College resigned in a symbolic protest, urging the Bengal government to address the deteriorating health of seven fasting junior doctors. The state government received no response, while faculty from other hospitals issued similar resignation threats. The junior doctors presented a 10-point charter of demands to the government.
