Posing as buyer, crook swaps Rs 4.5cr diamond with a lab-grown one

Hitesh Purohit, the swindler examined the diamond and its certificate before proposing a partial down payment of Rs 10 lakh and the remaining payment upon delivery. Purohit then left the office saying he needed to withdraw money from a safe vault, leaving the diamond on the table. However, Akshat (son of the owner of Akshat Gems) noticed that the diamond on the table was a lab-grown one with the same shape, colour, and weight as the natural gem.
