Bengal CM Mamata writes to PM Modi; urges to abolish NEET

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to abolish the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) due to alleged massive corruption in the current system. She called for a return to the previous system where states conducted their own entrance exams for medical courses. Mamata highlighted issues such as paper leaks, bribery, and favoritism in the exams, which she believes jeopardize the aspirations of many students.
