11 Uttarakhand border villages ‘totally empty’

A report submitted to the Uttarakhand chief minister highlighted 11 villages near the Indo-China border that are empty since the 1962 war. Suggestions to repopulate include promoting border tourism and increasing employment days. The villages remain deserted, hosting only Army and ITBP posts.
