Apple AI model trained on YouTube: This is what the company has to say

Apple has clarified that it did not use YouTube videos to train AI models for consumer-facing features. Reports indicate that Silicon Valley companies, including Apple, Nvidia, and Salesforce, utilized subtitles from YouTube videos for AI training. The dataset also included content from educational platforms, news organizations, and popular YouTubers. Apple’s OpenELM model is not currently used for AI features.
