Pune court sends IAS Puja Khedkar’s mother to 2-day police custody

A Pune court has remanded Manorama Khedkar, mother of IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, to police custody until July 20. This order came on Thursday, following her detainment by Pune police in connection with several ‘fraud cases’. Police had been actively searching for Manorama Khedkar and her husband Dilip after an FIR was filed against them and five others. The investigation was triggered by a video showing Manorama allegedly threatening individuals with a gun over a land dispute.
