Over 400 Indians evacuated from Bangladesh: Meghalaya CM Conrad

Approximately 405 Indian students, with 80 from Meghalaya, have been safely evacuated from Bangladesh to India through the Dawki check-post. Efforts are ongoing to assist students from Nepal and Bhutan as well. Specific attention is being given to students from Eastern Medical College. The state government has established a helpline for Meghalaya citizens in need of assistance during the crisis.
