Maitree Express services between Kolkata-Dhaka suspended

Due to ongoing violent protests in Bangladesh, the Maitree Express service between Kolkata and Dhaka will remain suspended until Tuesday. The protests stemmed from a controversial quota decision but were scaled down by the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Law minister Anisul Haq welcomed the court’s decision.
