Marital status of ‘fraud’ IAS officer Khedkar’s parents under lens

Pune police are investigating the marital status of IAS trainee Puja Khedkar’s parents, following claims of false separation for an OBC certificate. Commissioner Amitesh Kumar assigned the crime branch following a DoPT inquiry request. Manorama Khedkar, arrested for brandishing a gun in a Mulshi land dispute, is held till July 20. Dilip Khedkar, a former officer and businessman with Rs40 crore in assets, had interim protection against arrest till July 25. Paud police registered the charges, including Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and Arms Act violations, after video evidence showed threats to farmers. Firearm license revocation is pending.
