‘Bihar floods recognised as national priority for first time’

The Union Budget earmarked Rs 11,500 crore for managing the Kosi river, addressing its adverse impacts on Bihar. Sanjay Jha emphasized its national priority. Major projects include expressways, a Ganga bridge, medical colleges, a power plant, Gaya industrial node, sports infrastructure, and development of Vishnupad and Mahabodhi temple corridors, Rajgir, and Nalanda. This allocation compensates for special category status.
