FIR as Thane woman ‘fakes identity’ to marry Insta pal in Pakistan

A 23-year-old UP woman fleeing an allegedly abusive husband created a fake identity to marry a Pakistani man met on Instagram. Flagged by the Indian High Commission, an FIR was filed on July 20 for forgery involving a Thane shopkeeper after she returned in November due to her mother’s illness. She initially moved to Abbottabad, Pakistan.
