Doeschate joins Team India in Sri Lanka as assistant coach

Doeschate, who previously worked alongside Gambhir as part of the coaching staff at Kolkata Knight Riders during the Indian Premier League earlier this year, has also played under Gambhir’s leadership for the Kolkata franchise. In another significant move, Abhishek Nayar, who was also a member of the coaching team at KKR, has been appointed as an assistant coach.
