96-year wait for India’s legendary Olympic hockey teams ends in Paris

In 1928, Indian hockey began a historic journey of consecutive Olympic medals, lasting 44 years. On July 30th, 2024, the shooting duo Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh ended a 96-year wait for another Indian ‘team’ Olympic medal. They won bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Games, marking a milestone for India.
