SC entrusts Gokarna temple admin to judges

The Supreme Court of India assigned the management of the Gokarna Mahabaleshwara temple in Karnataka to former judge B N Srikrishna and the Karwar district judge. The decision came after inter-group rivalry led to a stalemate. The court granted Srikrishna veto power, while the Karnataka government can replace the committee’s private members chosen by the previous government.
