Haryana selects tainted official for govt jobs panel

A chargesheeted officer, Vatsal Vashisht, involved in the 2001 HCS recruitment scam, was appointed as Officer on Special Duty in Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Vashisht, currently serving as Secretary of Haryana Right to Service Commission, was implicated by the anti-corruption bureau. He was found to have been awarded additional marks illegitimately, making him eligible for the post.
