LIC looks to acquire health insurance companies

LIC announced its intention to enter the health insurance market through an acquisition within the current financial year, as stated by MD & CEO Siddhartha Mohanty. The company reported a 9.6% increase in net profit for the June quarter, with a rise in market share and premium income. Agents are expected to switch to selling LIC health insurance products.
