Plan to add HPV vaccines to immunisation programme: Nadda

The Centre considered adding the HPV vaccine to the national immunisation programme, according to Health Minister J P Nadda. The National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation had recommended it, but logistical issues, including dosage differences and capacity, needed to be addressed first. Some states, like Sikkim, had already introduced the vaccine in their routine immunisation programmes.
