Bihar cops seize 50g of radioactive ‘californium’ valued at 850cr, arrest 3

Bihar Police apprehended a three-member gang in Gopalganj and seized 50 grams of the radioactive substance californium, valued at Rs 850 crore. The suspects, caught at Balthari checkpoint, carried a falsified lab report allegedly from IIT-Madras. The material’s source is under investigation. The Department of Atomic Energy is conducting tests on the confiscated substance.
