Govt halves income cap for interest subsidy in PMAY 2.0

Urban households earning up to Rs 9 lakh annually were made eligible for the interest subsidy scheme on home loans under the newly revamped PM Awas Yojna (Urban) scheme. The government also introduced incentives for affordable rental housing for migrant workers and other groups. These changes aimed at providing financial relief to deserving beneficiaries.
