The next tallest building in world could reach 3,000 feet

In May, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) announced plans to develop skyscrapers that store renewable energy using gravity-based systems in collaboration with Energy Vault. These buildings, potentially reaching up to 1,000 meters, could play a significant role in aiding the transition away from fossil fuels while addressing renewable energy storage challenges.
