NIRF ranking: NITK performance drops

NITK Surathkal experienced a decline in its 2024 NIRF rankings, dropping from 12th to 17th in the engineering category and from 38th to 46th overall. This slip was attributed to underperformance in teaching, research, and resources. Despite holding a top position for years, issues like improper student-to-faculty ratio and reduced PhD enrolment impacted rankings.
