Two dead in blast at Virudhunagar fireworks unit

Two workers were killed and two others injured in an explosion at Jayanthi Fireworks in Virudhunagar district. The blast occurred while workers were unloading chemicals from a van. The unit’s owner and foreman have been booked for negligence. Chief Minister M K Stalin announced compensation for the victims’ families and urged stricter safety inspections.
