Rajasthan: Torrential rain throws life out of gear in several divisions

In Rajasthan, continuous rainfall disrupted normal life and traffic in several divisions, including Jaipur and Jodhpur. Flooding affected areas like Jaisalmer, submerging villages and damaging the Indira Gandhi Canal. A 24-year-old man drowned in Jaipur. The Met office predicted rainfall to recede by Saturday. Maximum rainfall was recorded in Hindoli at 220 mm.
