Porvorim flyover: PWD vetoes plan to divert traffic over Borim bridge

Last week, North Goa restricted heavy vehicle movement to facilitate the elevated highway corridor construction in Porvorim. A similar restriction for South Goa was not implemented due to the PWD’s refusal to allow traffic diversion over the aging Borim bridge. North Goa’s measures involve night-time movement for vehicles while efforts continue to manage congestion in Verna.
