Tragic reality of lives of resident doctors

The recent incident at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College has highlighted severe security flaws and poor working conditions for healthcare workers. Insufficient security measures and inadequate rest spaces for resident doctors working grueling shifts were exposed. The IMA has demanded hospitals be declared safe zones with mandatory security measures.
