Sumit Nagal, India’s top singles tennis player, exited the Winston-Salem Open after losing to Borna Coric in the first round, lasting one hour and 10 minutes, with a final score of 4-6, 2-6. Dhakshineswar Suresh, a former junior national champion, also faced defeat in the singles qualifying event but will compete in doubles with British partner Luca Pow.
