A collection of 16th and 17th-century watercolour paintings has returned to Goa, where they were created. The artworks, including the ‘Codex Casanatense’, depict everyday life, flora, fauna, and topography. Researchers highlight their significance as valuable historical records that offer insight into Goa’s evolution over centuries. The collection is now displayed at the Sunaparanta Goa Centre for Arts, Altinho.
