Security personnel at all central government hospitals to go up 25%

The Centre increased security personnel by 25% in hospitals following the August 9 incident where a doctor was raped and murdered in Kolkata. A directive was issued to deploy marshals for security-related assistance. A committee will be set up to assess doctors’ security, working hours, and facilities. Protesting doctors are urged to call off their strike as patient care suffers.
