TRAI annual report: Internet subscribers surge, growth in telecom sector and more

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India reported a significant surge in internet subscribers from 88.1 crore in March 2023 to 95.4 crore by March 2024, marking an 8.30% annual growth. Broadband users also saw a notable rise, increasing by 9.15%, alongside higher wireless data usage, leading to an overall tele-density of 85.69% by March 2024.
