Scientists have discovered fossils of giant sea scorpions, some up to eight feet long, known as eurypterids. Living around 400 million years ago, these apex predators could cross oceans. The fossils were found in Australia, showing their ability to swim vast distances. However, the reasons for their extinction around 393 million years ago remain unknown.
