Facebook-parent cancels its Apple rival product

Meta has cancelled its plan to launch a high-end mixed reality headset, originally scheduled for release in 2027. The decision followed a product review meeting attended by CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other executives. This comes in the wake of significant financial losses in Meta’s Reality Labs division, which posted a $4.5 billion loss in Q2 2024.
