Kolkata: CBI files ‘fin irregularity’ FIR, names ex-principal Sandip Ghosh

Following a Calcutta High Court order, the CBI’s anti-corruption branch re-registered an FIR concerning financial irregularities at R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. Former principal Sandip Ghosh was named in the case. The Kolkata Police’s SIT handed over investigation documents, and the CBI will review contracts awarded since 2021. A progress report is expected in three weeks.
