Policy on high-performance biomanufacturing gets approval

The Union Cabinet approved the BioE3 biotech policy and unified the three schemes into ‘Vigyan Dhara’ with an outlay of over Rs 10,579 crore. BioE3 aims to promote high-performance biomanufacturing and support India’s net zero emission goal by 2070. The policy targets technology development, job creation, and sustainable growth while addressing climate change and food security.
