PM Modi asks state governments to accord priority to women safety and security

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the importance of women’s safety and urged state governments to prioritise safeguarding women and girls. Speaking at a Maharashtra event, he called crimes against women “unpardonable” and advocated for stringent punishment for both main offenders and abettors. Modi highlighted new provisions in the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita for harsher penalties.
