5-year-old Ropar boy becomes youngest Asian to scale Africa’s highest mountain peak

Teghbir Singh, a 5-year-old from Ropar, Punjab, scaled Mount Kilimanjaro, making him the youngest Asian to achieve this feat. Overcoming challenges like low oxygen and cold temperatures, he reached the summit on August 23, 2024. Teghbir credited his coach, family, and extensive training for his success. His preparations included cardiovascular exercises and weekly treks. He previously completed the Mount Everest Base Camp trek earlier in April this year.
