Malayalam filmmaker, actor quit posts over sexual abuse charges

Ranjith, the Kerala Chalachitra Academy chairman, and actor Siddique, AMMA general secretary, resigned from their posts after facing sexual harassment allegations. The Kerala government has initiated a police special team to investigate charges made by women in cinema. Both Ranjith and Siddique have denied the accusations and decided to step down from their roles.
