Netherlands fines Uber $324 million for breaking this 2018 EU law

The Dutch Data Protection Authority imposed a fine of 290 million euros on Uber for transferring European drivers’ personal data to the US without adequate safeguards as required by GDPR. Uber plans to appeal the decision, calling it flawed and unjustified.
