MHA announces five new districts in Ladakh

The home ministry approved the creation of five new districts in Ladakh to enhance governance and welfare scheme implementation. These districts include Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang. The move aims to improve infrastructure, connectivity, and services, addressing the region’s unique challenges. A committee will be formed to finalize the details and submit a report within three months.
