Son won’t contest Shiggaon byelection, says former Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai

Basavaraj Bommai, former Karnataka CM, clarified that his son, Bharath Bommai, would not contest the Shiggaon assembly byelection, despite mentions by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. Bommai also commented on Congress’s criticism of Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot’s decision to allow prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, stating that governors represent the President and should be approached appropriately in cases of disagreements.
