Pakistani Christian set to be 1st in state to get citizenship under CAA

A Christian senior citizen originally from Pakistan will be the first recipient of Indian citizenship in Goa under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Born in Goa during the Portuguese era, he migrated to Pakistan before 1961. Chief minister Pramod Sawant is set to present the certificate, following a thorough document review by a four-member committee.
