Telegram CEO charged over app’s ‘criminal use’: Forbidden to leave France & more

Pavel Durov, CEO and co-founder of Telegram, has been charged in France for enabling various forms of criminality on the app. He is under formal investigation for multiple charges, including complicity in selling child sexual abuse material and drug trafficking. Durov was detained and released on 5-million-euro bail, with conditions to report to police twice a week.
