Chennai genome sequencing facility to analyse dengue virus: Health minister

Chennai’s whole genome sequencing facility, initially set up for Covid-19 analysis, will now focus on the dengue virus. Health Minister Ma Subramanian announced that the lab is equipped and ready to start work next week. Tamil Nadu has seen a rise in dengue cases, with over 12,100 reported since January.
