Landmine survivor shot-putter Hokato Sema wins Paralympics bronze

Hokato Sema, an Indian landmine-blast survivor, achieved a bronze medal in the men’s F57 shot put final at the Paris Paralympics with a career-best throw of 14.65 metres. The 40-year-old para athlete from Dimapur had previously earned bronze at the Hangzhou Para Games. Another Indian competitor, Rana Soman, finished fifth with his best throw being 14.07m.
