Hedgehogs threatened by robot mowers, German activists warn

Conservationists and scientists in Germany are calling for a ban on nighttime robot mower use to protect hedgehogs. A study shows nearly half of the injured hedgehogs die or need euthanasia. The devices also threaten biodiversity by indiscriminately cutting plants, affecting food sources for bees, butterflies, and beetles.
