Always for talks, says Hurriyat after Rajnath mentions 2016 rebuff

The Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat Conference has reiterated its support for dialogue with the Centre. This follows Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement that Hurriyat leaders had refused to meet a parliamentary delegation in 2016. Mirwaiz Umar clarified he was in jail at the time and sought conditions for meaningful talks, which were not pursued further.
